Aimee Anderson, MSW, RSW is a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist. She holds a BSW from Carleton University and an MSW from Dalhousie University. Aimee is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers as well as a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Social Workers. Aimee is an enthusiastic learner and continually train in new therapies to provide her clients with excellent care. Aimee provides counseling services to insured clients under the supervision of registered Counselling Psychologist, Dr. David Paré.
Aimee's specialised clinical experience offers the ability for safe, confidential, and non-judgmental therapeutic relationships. Her approach is supportive and compassionate. She is client-centred and sensitive to an individual's needs and their past experiences. Aimee uses a variety of therapeutic approaches to help clients find solutions to individual and family difficulties. Her approach to counselling is influenced by Narrative therapy, relaxation and mindfulness techniques, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Brief-Solution Focused Therapy and Collaborative Therapy.
Aimee has 18 years of clinical social work practice focused on children, youth, adults and families experiencing difficulties. Issues that Aimee works with include:
