David
Paré
David Paré, Ph.D., Couns. Psych. is the director of
the Glebe Institute. David is a registered psychologist and
family therapist. He’s an associate professor in Educational
Counselling at the Faculty of Education at the University
of Ottawa and also maintains a private practice in individual,
couple, and family therapy. David has a long-standing interest
in collaborative approaches to counselling, having completed
advanced trainings in New Zealand, Australia, and Canada.
He has written widely and presented internationally on the
subject of narrative and postmodern therapies, as well as
offering training and supervision in these areas. David has
recently co-edited two books. These two new edited collections
are devoted to exploring collaborative practices in counselling
and therapy. With contributions from a wide range ofinternational
practitioners, the chapters touch on the influence of postmodern
and poststructural ideas in therapy, research, teaching, supervision,
and theory.
