Bonney Elliott
Bonney is certified through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Her career began as a paediatric nurse working with sick and dying children and their families. She went on to further training and work as a licensed Nurse Practitioner in community family practice.
She has a Masters degree in Counselling from the University of Ottawa, where training and ongoing supervision have been from a Narrative Therapy focus. She does general counselling at a community agency and has facilitated support groups for women experiencing postpartum depression and family violence. Currently she is pursuing post-graduate clinical training in Marriage & Family Therapy at St. Paul University. She has additional training in Yoga and Mindfulness, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Emotion Focused Couple Therapy as well as Sand Tray therapy.
The focus of her private practice is general counselling and psychotherapy with individuals, couples and families. She has a holistic, client-centred approach.
